Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday, May 8, 2022, to honor motherhood and mothers around the globe. The sole purpose of this day is to make mothers around the world feel loved and acknowledged for all of their selfless hard work. Many businesses, companies, and restaurants even acknowledge mothers day, by hosting live music, Mother’s Day festivals, restaurant specials, and special activities. So if you are thinking of treating your mother to a fun-filled day this Sunday, there are many local businesses all throughout Orange County hosting Mother’s Day celebrations just for you!

In honor of Mother’s Day, Balboa Bay Resort is hosting a brunch including live music and an extravagant buffet. The Balboa Bay Resort is located in Newport Beach, California. This event will include an extravagant buffet, sushi bar, seafood display, and desserts. This is the perfect place for your mother to enjoy a nice afternoon with her family. Reservations are required to attend this event. 

The Biergarten, located in Huntington Beach, California is hosting an event that will be open to all ages, so it is the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day with the whole family. There will also be free live music including a Beatles tribute band and a Rolling Stones tribute band. Biergarten at Old World Huntington Beach will be serving a German Menu and some special menu options in honor of Mother’s Day, as well. 

Dana Point Cruises will also be offering a two-hour cruise and is welcome to all ages! Although this event requires reservations beforehand it will be available all throughout the day this Sunday. The cruise departs from Dana Point Harbour and travels to Laguna Beach. Dana Wharf Cruises offer fresh fruit, drinks, and pastries, along with complimentary champagne for all mothers aboard the cruise. 

The annual Las Damas Sunset Beach Art Festival is taking place this Sunday, as well! This festival showcases over 150 artists’ work and has been a recurring event for the past 54 years. Las Damas is a volunteer women’s non-profit organization that promotes the arts. The profits that the Las Damas organization makes are fully contributed to local non-profit organizations and public schools. Food, entertainment, and fine arts will be available for purchase at this Mother’s Day Festival. The range of art pieces sold by the vendors of this event will include one-of-a-kind paintings, handmade jewelry, blown glass, and clothing.
