“Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” is the debut studio album by The Cranberries known for “Dreams,” “Sunday,” and “Linger.” Released in early March of 1993 by the Irish band, it’s a great record for Saint Patrick’s Day. The album is full of whimsical, eerie vocals and catchy lyrics. The first track, “I Still Do,” is definitely up there with the other popular hits off the album, but the song’s second half “Still Can’t…” really sells it. The intro sounds similar to The Cure’s “Lovesong” released a few years earlier in 1989 off their “Disintegration” album.
Some of the biggest hits have been used in the sitcom “Derry Girls” about teenagers in 1990’s Northern Ireland—“Dreams” is known as the official ending theme.
